Welcome to the IDCSA
The Irish Data Centre Supplier Alliance was established as a new representative association for indigenous Irish companies that have benefited from the establishment of a world leading data centre industry in Ireland.
The data centre industry has become a cornerstone of Ireland’s modern economy. Since 2010, it has contributed over €20 billion through direct and indirect investment, directly employing 1,800 people whilst supporting thousands more jobs across the Irish supply chain.
Companies represented by the Irish Data Centre Supplier Alliance have grown into multinationals on the back of this investment, establishing Ireland as a global leader in digital infrastructure.
Who We Are
The Irish Data Centre Supplier Alliance is a representative association for indigenous Irish companies that operate in the supply chain for data centre delivery across multiple sectors, including planning, design, construction, mechanical & electrical engineering, energy management, automation and technical services.
Our members support thousands of high-skilled jobs and contribute significantly to the Irish economy each year. Members of the Irish Data Centre Supplier Alliance are partners to many of the world’s leading AI and cloud technology companies, helping to design, construct, energise and manage digital infrastructure assets all over the world.
What We Want
Ireland’s highly successful data centre ecosystem is under threat due to the significant infrastructure constraints facing the country, most notably around electricity and the capacity of the grid network. As the world prepares to invest $3 trillion in AI-driven digital infrastructure, Ireland has fallen well down the rankings in terms of its attractiveness as a market for data centre investment.
The moratorium on new grid connections for data centres in the Greater Dublin Area lasted four years before the Large Energy User (LEU) was recently published in December 2025 by the Commission for the Regulation of Utilities (CRU). The new LEU policy has provided a degree of certainty to investors seeking a pathway to future growth, although the regulatory and compliance hurdles for data centre projects are extremely high.
The Irish Data Centre Supplier Alliance has been formed to advocate on behalf of its members, demonstrate the sector’s value to the Irish economy, engage with policymakers to ensure supportive government policy, communicate the positive impact of data centre investment, and respond to key policy consultations.
What You Can Do
The Irish Data Centre Supplier Alliance welcomes all Irish businesses involved in the data centre sector to join as members.
By working together as a collective and a unified group, this Alliance can be the voice and platform that provides the strong advocacy needed to support Ireland’s data centre ecosystem.
